As the photos show, Nash Island and it's neighbor, Big Nash are home to a herd of sheep. These hardy animals live their lives on these outer islands. Very few ever touch the mainland. Their wool is prized by weavers and artisans, the high quality due to the harsh conditions and diet. They are often seen at low tide grazing on the kelp and rockweed.
